Since the latest Windows update + restart last night, mine4erf no longer runs on my machine. I tried both the original new versions and see the same problem. I get the error:
Could not connect to stratum server eu1.erthmine.org:14444, Access is denied

I think it's a problem with Norton Antivirus. I see entries such as:
Unauthorized access blocked (Access Process Data) from actor WERFAULT.ext: Unauthorized access blocked.

Also:
Internal was blocked from accessing your network resources.

I've added the miner as a trusted program but that doesn't seem to help. I don't want to disable antivirus/firewall to make this work. Is there anything else I can try? - Thanks.

You likely need to allow internal.exe through your Norton firewall. Not just ignore it in the Norton antivirus.

Hmm I dont have a recent version of Norton, unfortunately. ::looks online::

    Try this: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/hom ... tail_en_us

Thanks for figuring this out, JadedDragoon!

I've gotten word back from Norton/Symantec that they should update their definitions so that it reports it as a coin miner rather than as a trojan and prompts for whether you're happy with running it, per their policy of doing that for all coin miners. This should make things better soon. Thanks for solving things in the now!
