    I never said he was.

It didn't promote him, but it made him castery enough for him to read the scroll, cast it, and even hack him into a caster link.

The scroll didn't do anything to him, the scroll itself had a special feature that meant Parson could cast it.

And? It's a step short of "promotion to caster", but it temporarily gave him some of the same abilities while holding it. It even allowed him to participate in a caster link. All that's left is to figure out how to graft it to him and make him into a magiborg! And upgrade it so it can work with other spells.

I never said the scroll promoted Parson to caster, I said it mostly proves that it's possible.

It's the difference between a gun that shoots bullets and a gun that gives you the ability to shoot bullets out of the palm of your hand. No one would claim that a rifle proves it's possible to make machine gun men.

That would be called a cyborg.

And we already know that specials can be modified. We just haven't seen any special modification on that level.

Heirs can be popped for non-royal sides? Is that canon?

Well, the fact that Vanna was going to pop an heir for Transylvito when Caesar was ruling as an 'other than royal king' tends to lend some credence to that.

Not even a little bit. The heir in the que is Don's royal heir.

Unless you think that Don croaking/Caeser taking over removes the old unit from the que and replaces it with an equally 'developed' unit.

I'm going strictly by definition here. If it's not possible for a non-royal side to pop an heir, then as soon as Caesar took over, the heir should have disappeared. It did not.

How are you defining "Royal side"? If Caesar declares himself Regent with intent to pop the Royal heir, then TV is still a Royal side. Isn't it?

Vanna seemed to accept the definition, at least, and she's got an entire tree stuck up her ass about Royalty.

A fair point as I don't believe he's officially declared one way or the other.

With that being said, I don't expect them to continue being a royal side if Caesar gets freed, so we might find out at that point. I expect Caesar to sever his relationship with Vanna in a very hostile manner and I very much doubt he's going to act as Regent waiting for someone with no life or battle experience whatsoever to simply pop and take the throne with everything that's going on. Especially considering that it's Vanna that's been expediting and overseeing the process of producing an heir.

This is great! That said, I had a bit different bit of Rhymamancy planned instead:

    One two three four

    Oh you best get ready
    to blitzkrieg that L4 jetty
    And behead that bad overlord
    Mmm, I know the casualties
    would upset the treasury
But I’ll turn the captives into our reward

    I’ll turn all the prisoners
    If you go conquer Erf

    Where is my old thane?
    Where’s the coronet song?
Where are the Lords and Ladies?
Where have all the Royals gone?

    I know that you’re reeling
But I’ve still got the feeling
That we can slay that dead company
    Ooh, I know your daughter
    May have muddied the waters
But we’ll still serve the witch a defeat

    I’ll head to the MK
If you just slay that girl

    Where is my old thane?
    Where’s the coronet song?
Where are the Lords and Ladies?
Where have all the Royals gone?

I am wearing my red dress tonight
So weird Don King will even notice me

    I finally served a Royal
    And pledged my service loyal
And then I got sent into the clink
    You bickered with Caesar
And his girlfriend croaked you far
Before the heir came later in the week

    I’ll call you a dimwit
    Cause you trusted Hamster

    Where is my old thane?
    Where’s the coronet song?
Where are the Lords and Ladies?
Where have all the Royals gone?
    Where are the loyal casters?
    Where is the Rubicon?
    Where are my honorable Rulers?
Where have all the Royals gone?
Where have all the Royals gone?
Where have all the Royals gone?

    Least Hamster went away
    Least Hamster went away
    Least Hamster went away
    Least Hamster went away
    Least Hamster went away
    Least Hamster went away-way-away-a-wayyyyyyyyayyyyyaaayyy

Excellent parody of Jack Johnson's "Good People". I like how you were willing to forego the original's verse structure during your final couple versus, it took some real guts. Just because you're parodying a a song, doesn't mean you have to have the same amount of bars/lines per verse (or even the number of verses). A song parody should strive a balance between originality and being recognisable. If you get too to the original you might end up with copyright problems.

Again, I must say you went above and beyond on this one. And now for me to click on your link.......

    Um... :?
