I see that the orders I posted last time were ignored because I forgot to bold them. Just as well, they needed changing. Apparently, everyone wants to fight the creature instead of tame it.

    Picks up 2 rocks
    Eats
    Stacks to fight Green Creature
attempts to break open chest with rocks

We're short on food..with no harvestable food resources..and you wanted to befriend the only possible food source and bring another mouth to the table ? :(

I think the fungus food turns you green. My next suggestion would be making fungal brew from it and seeing if that helps any. However, I lack the ability to craft a barrel.

Turn 3 Starts Now. 24 hours to post orders (or sooner if all players respond sooner).

Please put all your orders in Bold, and remember to tell me your Marbit's designation (Mx) and Name if you have one. If you don't, then why?

    Image

    Things to Note:
    Red circles are mushroom food.
Black dots by the name indicates a Marbit is Starving.

    Rules (such as they are)
    Spoiler: show
Marbit Island is a play-by-post game run by me. Each player will be a Marbit, looking to survive here.
Move is the most important stat. It determines the number of actions you can take in a turn - move into other hexes, gather food, cut trees, build, etc.
Post your orders on the forum. For this game, orders will be resolved in the order in which they were posted - no editing of your posts, please!
This gives an advantage to early posters to grab equipment and resources, but allows later posters to know what has happened before they give their orders.
Marbits like to eat. At least once per turn. Marbits do not eat automatically, but must be given an order to eat.
If a Marbit is unable to eat, he will become hungry. A hungry Marbit that does not eat in their turn will become ill, or cwoak.
Marbits may hold up to two items in their hands. It takes an action to equip one or more items. Excess items are dropped in the hex.
If the weather turns bad, Marbits will need to take shelter in a hut. A hut can shelter up to six Marbits.
Combat is a dangerous game, and no one is really sure just how it works. High Combat and Defence values are good. Working as a team, or 'stack' is also good.
Marbits who do not submit orders within the allotted time will default to eating once, and then singing lewd lyrics drafted into popular musicals.
NPC Marbits may be given orders by Player Marbits. It takes one action to give a set of orders to one NPC. The first player to issue orders to an NPC controls it for that turn (no befriending).
All the necessary information should be displayed on the map, above. Any questions? Just ask.

Wait, no! We need to try and plant one of those last few berries! Guys what have you done! Well, I do note that we can cycle through shroomfood/nonshroom food if we rest.

I don't think foraging for food directly is how we eat in this game.

    M3:
    Finish making rock axe tool
use gem to pop ration(s) (many as possible with a single action)
    Eat
search rock pile for more gems

My gamer sense is telling me we'll need to figure out how to move the pile of larger rocks at some point. Could multiple marbits be used to shift the larger rocks by hand? Would we need a lever or a pulley?

Fellow Marbits! I have been northeast and returned!

Unfortunately the northeast hex is a lot like this one, little but rocks and shrubs, but there is a gigantic armored creature there. It hissed at me, so clearly it is hostile and should be slaughtered and devoured; to that end, I name it a Vicious Foodbeast. The only hexes that weren't water were the southeast and west- which we knew about already. This island seems small.

Also, I am hungry. Excuse me.

M7 eats, stacks with M2 and M6, and moves northwest with them.

If the hexes west and northwest of the NW hex and East and southeast of the east hex are also water, then we only have 4 hexes to work with.

I think the rock axe tool I'm making uses up the last of our wood. We need someone to cut more.

We can at least get half of our food that way. We'd need to harvest/eat on half the turns and eat/rest on the other ones. Still gives us two actions to dink around with though.
