It's lonely at the top and he's not satisfied with the view; but at least he's got some ideas on how to fix that.

Did he ever offer any advice to Parson on camera? It seems Stanley had more faith in Parson than we thought...

That really is an epic sandwich. And... a mojito? A margarita? Hard to tell through the sepia tone.

So in the end, Stanly is not an evil force out to crush hopes. He's just a man who's been over promoted and lack real managerial skills. Nice to know that even Stanly is a person. Now Parson in the MK PLEASE!!!!!

There must have been a powerful combo of magicks that allowed little Stanley to take a clean bite out of that towering sandwich! I hope he does figure out other uses for the hammer, it's useful for keeping him alive, but not nearly as useful for a kingdom as the pliers and dish seem to be. I wonder if a warlord-overlord can unravel the magicks in the hammer and understand them, even with the help of casters.

Okay, the hammer lets him fly after all – it wasn't just something Jack made up on the spot.

This seems amusingly oriented to answer a lot of spec on the forums.

Dwagons de-fooded? Best answer we're getting before next dawn.
Other abilities of the hammer? Enumerated and more hinted at.

Hmm, Rulers can send orders without a thinkamancer. That seems like a pretty big deal.

In fact, it makes thinkamancers less valuable. Also, means that a Chief Warlord has a big disadvantage relative to the Ruler with regards to running a military campaign.

We have pretty much always known that Stanley The Tool is a victim of the peter principle. We did find out something new though, Stanley CAN tell the difference between decrypted and regular units and knows they are his. The amount of money Parson is paying out to try to beat Jetstone is almost as much as Slately needs to promote Trem to heir. It seems like CWL's have this ability too, but both are vague compared to what a thinkamancer does.

Stanley has been "growing" for a while now. At least, we have seen the signs all over the place in book two (which so far is about 2 turns in length). From trying to remember names to being cautious of Wanda's desire to decrypt Jack, Stanley is definitely more capable than he was, or at least more capable than we ever saw.

    I always like Stanley updates.

Interesting that he really does hold Parson in high regard.

I always saw Stanley's little goatee in Book 2 as Signamancy of his maturing somewhat. It's good that he acknowledges Parson's skill, and even better that he's going to try and increase the functionality of the Arkenhammer. It's powerful, but if it truly is on the level of the 'Pliers or the 'Dish, there's something utterly ridiculous that it's capable of that Stanley doesn't know about yet.

    Tinfoil Time!

I wonder how much of this update represents Stanley actually maturing/getting smarter, and how much of it represents the Thinkamancy spell currently placed on him?

Personally, I hope it's a sign that there is more to Stanley than we realized -- he's not really incompetent enough to believe Parson does a bad job, for example -- but we really have no idea what, exactly, Maggie did to him.

Excellent...sandwich. I suppose one of Stanley's abilities is to expand his higher orifice to fit any food. Nice update overall.
