*Note to self, Ant Warriors will not be a character race if thsi game world survives.
Ant Workers can be though, most being outcasts.

Just so you know, while swallowed you're are considered being grappled and:
    Quote:
    Attack Your Opponent
You can make an attack with an unarmed strike, natural weapon, or light weapon against another character you are grappling. You take a -4 penalty on such attacks.

You can’t attack with two weapons while grappling, even if both are light weapons.

Also when swalloed the Ant should take bite damage.

I haven't played D&D for a while, but doesn't it stay engulfed? I think there are some monsters that you can cut your way out of, but you didn't roll for that.

He did attack t cut his way out, but he did it wrong, because he can't make two attacks and the attack he dose make is at a -4 penalty. Also Gibbering mouther does not take that damage dealt to him, so excess damage doesn't do anything.

This thread is fascinating. But what is it about exactly? Is it related to some game on the forum here, or just an experiment with some edition if DnD to see which monster one should be more scared of?

It's for Lords of Creation. Daemonwelsh created a gladiatorial arena and now his ant-people-things are fighting one of Crovius's Gibbering Mouthers.

after dealing 10 damage, they dont stay engulfed.

    and okay...
then ant 5 takes no damage? except constitution?

    Hmm.
Works for me, and gibbering takes no damage from him.

Ok, so 5 FULLY powered Ants using their flight and rnaged touch spells to their advantage can beat a single Gibbering mouther with only one death and one insanity.

Actually that means my Mouthers are nasty. Imagine what would have happened if they had to face two. Two chances of being blinded any time, and the ants have to make their save PER mouther. I need to look at the save DCs, not sure if they were calculated correctly. So we'll see.

pretty crazy. and that was with them being focused entirely on the one...

Yeah, two could get ugly, especially if the entire squad is not made up of the ruby ones.
