    OH CRAP!

If Bill croaks from internal shockmancy (side effect of rapid unwraveling) then, much like linked casters, it could come back to hit MAGGIE!

Wow, that panel is stylistically beautiful. I gotta say I'm really impressed with the art team lately, I don't even mind the slower update pace recently given the quality of some of these pages.

Seconding Linsaran's comment on the beautiful art, though I do have one question: Is the stripe above the Makaleka's posterior is white in panels 2-3, then black in panels 4-5 due to the new style, or is that an inconsistency/version control thing?

Bill accidentally creates a backdoor for Maggie / Fashion Maggie.

Fashion Maggie intentionally creates a back door in Bill's brain.

Initial thought: Awesome, a recap episode. And it's at a 1 to 1 scale too! Now that's dedication. It really is the little things that make a difference.

Yeah, all of the words on that panel are patterned after different needlepoint lettering techniques. I don't know what they're all called, but some of them are harder to read than others.

Except for the cross-stitch, "Look at what I am," it's hard to tell what stiches are used, but probably back-stitch, chain-stitch, running-stitch, and maybe split-stitch. Lovely illustrations.

Now for the only important argument this update gives us: is Bill dead, incapacitated or um, lobotomized?

My guess is lobotomized, because it leaves the magionette situation in the air for storytelling purposes.

Huh, I wonder if this is similar to what happened to Bunny?

There's the bit of the golem's string that Bill imprinted on teaching it how to be a golem, like Claud described. But then there's also the active connections to Bill and to Maggie. The active connection to Bill is probably a bit of his own string that he partitioned off, allowing the mind within a mind that powers the golems limited consciousness. The active connection to Maggie would be the H-strings, to give it the empathic connection it needed to emulate her.

Basically, it seems like the partitioned part of Bill's string, his mind within a mind, is rebelling against the rest of him. Ripping him apart from the inside out.

Oh, wow, a beautiful update. It's somewhat telling to see that Maggie's doll is completely bare as opposed to the other dolls.

Also props to the Erfworld folks, for a "doll house" also being a term for a strip joint.

Edit: Bonus points, Bill being a real basket case.

Oh god, the "Real Doll", the wording.

    Perfect considering Bill's doll fetish.

"You are as far from being a Titan as I am from being human" - devastating.
I hope Bill has enough time to reflect on just how much he threw away for his futile obsession, before he croaks as an insane traitor and failure, and goes to meet the "Ultimate Dollamancers" whose craft he mocked.

Those are some cross stitches in their Hobby Lobby, being embroidboldened to have their stitch in time save nine. Though Bill is a master at whip stitching and must have a 300 thread count, his creations unraveling his balled up strings are doing sew easily despite 22 of them to a inch. When he Singers for Charlie, I predict some seam ripper will leave him bobbin and spinning Jenny.

    I like the use of "manse". Bill isn't a proper Dollamancer, he's a Doll-a-manse-er.

Well played. Well played indeed. That's kinda where I was going too.

This is one of the most beautifully poetic examples of a creation turning against its master that I can recall seeing.

Good riddance to Doller Bill as an effective actor in this story. He may or may not be croaked yet, but one way or another, he's done.
