GAH! Are you doing that on purpose?

It's - conjunction - it is - these days it's also used for "it has" or "it was", and I have problems with that as well.

Its - ownership - its eyes.

Yes, apostrophes are used to indicate ownership in almost every other case (except its, his, and her).

Its' is not an appropriate use anywhere, unless you are speaking colloquially about ... and I can't even think of a word beginning with its that could shorten colloquially.

Anyway, enough ranting. I'll roll a die and draw a picture.

Alright. It was not on purpose, no. Just that none of my English teachers were particularly... interested in teaching proper grammar. Much less the usage of apostrophes.

    Spoiler: show
How about, as punishment, I refrain from using apostrophes at all until the end of turn 7, or the start of turn 8? Would that be adequate, in your grammatically superior opinion? :)

To me it looks like something is glowing in the water, after using the sling on the snail wes' should go and investigate the glowing in the water.

I second the idea Brimstone proposed. Now that the water clearly poses no threat to our Marbit physiology, we can swim as much as we want... and our marbit can handle. Being a monk, though, that should be a small issue, at worst, for now.

Enough to go to the glowing object, I would presume. And hopefully not drown as a result of. :)

You want to get in the water while the Gobwin is still there?

Check our dexterity - if we have an above-average amount, we ought to get a running start and jump at it.
That should serve it right for being a Gobwin!

After we shoot the snail, of course.

Monk Fyv takes careful aim, and slings a rock at the Snail's left eye.

    He misses!

But hits the right eye instead.

Just trying a different method of uploading the images.

    Seemed to work ok?

It loaded for me. Does it work better for you? Also, do the Erfworld servers have enough storage for you to load a bunch of images?

In other news, "Yay! Red mist! A Roguelike classic!" Also, since we are occupied with the snail, let us call off the attack on the Gobwin scum. He can wait/drown for a few minutes. Instead, we should aim for the other eye. Perhaps use our superior monk-focus to aim better?

I don't know what/if any limits on files, etc, exists.

It just cuts out a step of uploading, and helps when google sites doesn't want to work.

Monk Fyv fires again, this time the stone misses the eye and CRACKS! into the snail's shell.

The snail stops advancing, and draws its wounded head back into the shell, and rocks gently.

Well...curiosity proved useful in determining the safety of the water, so let's try pushing the snail into the water.

Sling the gobwin before it gets out of the water.

I vote for Bahamut: The snail is aware of who the boss is. The Gobwin doesn't appear in danger of drowning, and is swimming to shore, and more importantly, Fyv.

Attack the vermin in the water, by launching rocks at it!

    Ploink!
    Splish!

Monk Fyv launches rocks at the Gobwin, but without success!

The Gobwin is staring directly at Monk - unblinking.

    It is getting closer.

Uh-oh. Stand our ground, since the snail is inactive.

When the Gobwin true to climb up, take our trusty sword and give him another hole in his head.
Or, if he gets up too quickly, just get ready to gore him. No need to be gentle about the Gobwin-beast. It deserves worse!

The snail isn't mobile, or an imminent threat - The Gobwin is heading toward us now, and we are out of rocks to pelt at it. It would seem prudent to prepare for the more likely threat. Hence, attacking the Gobwin while it is vulnerable.

I was more thinking that the snail might attack the gobwin. Or vise versa. Or, at the very least, it would provide us with some height.

Marbits are... not known for their stature. Neither are Gobwins, of course, but I do not think exposing our feet to the beast swimming toward us, by climbing atop the beast beside us, is the best course of action.

Of course, if the GM says we still have enough reach to hit the Gobwin while we "ride" the snail, then by all means, climb away.
