Berries ?..in a berry sauce ? genius !
FERMENTATION.
What do we want? OTISBRAU.
When do we want it? RIGHT NOW.

That is happening next turn. I'll make some from mushrooms first. Gives it more kick.

Fermentation ? You'd need some sort of yeast or fungus for that... now who would have that, I wonder ? * looks sidewise at "Cook" *

    Woot

Edit: Also we have no idea how much wood a Saw gathers so we can't assume anything there.

We also have no idea if you've even managed to make one, it may take more ore than we've got (2)...or actions that were spent in making it ( again a max 2).

Plus I'm not sure that experimenting on saws or booze is exactly what we want to be doing right now.

I mean this is a pretty laid back game (or its' supposed to be). Worst case scenario: All of us die and we have to start over. Which, considering what we know now we'd have a MUCH better start.

Also, shameless self promotion. I'm running a game like this, but with Creeps instead of marbits, and I'm making all the sprite myself. Most rules are the same though I have my own ideas for some stuff. The game is just starting it's 5th turn, there are only 3 PC's so far and gonna be 10 Creeps total so plenty of room to join. It's on the Giant in the Playground forums, located hre: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259990

Yeah...but that's pretty much the point of and the fun in the game. You don't have any prior knowledge of what's supposed to be happening..or what you can do. It's ALL trial and error...with helpful DM hints of course. AND WE'RE IGNORING THE BIGGEST ONE SO FAR !

What, that we have plot? And a puzzle?

The BEST course of action is to get everyone suited up and have 3 or 4 stacks of well equipped Marbits, then go wipe out the Otisbits and search for any hints to the Helm of Destiny

Yup, I also vote for eliminating the otisbits. Preferably before those boats get here. They will be here in three turns right? So this is turn one, if we suit up and prepare on turn two, we can eliminate the otisbits on turn three.

Hmm... Just a thought, what if those boats don't arrive on this side of the island?

We really have no idea how big this island is... It could be half a dozen hexes, it could be twenty. We don't even know how many camps the Otisbits have.

It's too late to worry about now, though, since we're running out of time. For now, I'm hunting for EXP and leather; hopefully I'll be able to accompany you guys during the main attack (I do agree we should try to clear the Otisbits out of at least the hex we know they're in).

However, we shouldn't bet on the game ending in three turns, either. So, I'm also going to see if we can't tame some of these here beasties. (Or would you like to try that, Tigerus? You might have better chances, given that I'll have just gone hunting.)

    EDIT:
Oh, and I just noticed... "Iolol" starts with a capitol 'i', LTDave.
(The name's a play on '10101', or 21 in binary.)

Well, let's see about charging into other hexes and slaughtering everyone else there, then. Stack up, marbits!

M11 will increase Move with level.

    M11 Befriend M28, Befriend M28, Move N, Move N, Attack.
M28 will Equip Axe from M11, Move N, Move N, Attack.

I think the saw harvests two wood per action, but I'm not sure- if I count correctly there were ten Chop Wood actions taken in our hex, but we got twelve wood before it ran out. Useful if true. Unfortunately it has yet to appear in the equipment listings, so the resources used to create it aren't entirely known.

There are otisbits in the NE too.

    M22 Huggles
    Gather Food
    Move North

    Attack

We need to get them one group at a time. Guys in the NW hex, join us in glorious battle! If we get everyone from both hexes in one stack we should crush them.
If its just 8 marbits, per stack we'll still have a huge edge. Old marbits go first, so the eight stack will have 34+1 defense, and 28+7 attack. Then young marbits get 27+2def and 25+5 attack. Plus whatever the fang/saw/armor add. (Oh I was also assuming each marbit is a 2/2.)
The Otisbits OTOH, will likely only have 7 dudes and be worse equipped. They maybe produced two extra shields putting them up to 27+3 defense, but our first stack should still blow through that.
