And the Army of FOXHOUND comes to the battle:

Liquid Snake: Move: 5 Hits: 20 Attack: 24 Defense: 4 Special: None Cost: 83
Decoy Octopus: Move: 5 Hits: 1 Attack: 1 Defense: 0 Special: Scout (4) Cost: 8
Revolver Ocelot: Move: 2 Hits: 5 Attack: 10 Defense: 5 Special: None Cost: 23

I know the refrences don't match up, but I couldn't think of how to turn single characters into valid units.

So going by the suggested alternate players as they post units we currently have:
Team A: Nihila and the Risun Empire, HerbieRai and the agents of FOXHOUND
Team B: Twoy and the forces of Narnia

Editted as I forgot Twoy has a placeholder post.

I posted my units in my post above. Can someone who knows math order please check my math? I assume it's wrong, but there is some small possibility that it is correct.

    A couple of minor observations:

    - attack- what's the cap? One sentence says 1.5 Hits, but a few lines below is the cap I made (2*Hits or 4*Hits^2/3, whichever is lower). I presume it's the second.

    - scout cost, and scout move: in the "Turn" spoiler, it's said that scouts cost 10 extra. Wasn't that 6 extra? Also, can I have no units with "Scout" among my 4, but when I pop a unit, say- this will be a Scout, and pay extra?

    - how many hexes can a Scout inspect?

And now I'm studying the Shockamancy example, because Shocka looks ... too good.

EDIT: AAaah, I get it. Shocka doesn't croak, it removes from an engagement/temporarily incapacitates.

Hmmm ... would we be able to swap pop points between teams? Say in a battle, a shockamancer is used to incapacitate a high-level warlord, then that warlord's stack is destroyed. Presumably the warlord gets captured. Prisoner exchange or ransom, anyone? Turnamancy?

While fighting against Gobwin Knob, Avewnus has decided to expand its influence over other parts of the Erfworld too, joining this 2 sided battle with some of its forces.

    Imp: Move 5, Hits 1, Attack 1, Defence 0 + Scout >> 8 pts each
"A bat-like, small devil, useful for nothing other than scouting."
    Ewinyes: Move 2, Hits 6, Attack 9 , Defence 4 + Ranged + Dancefighting >> 37 pts each
"A beautiful female, human-looking devil, with red skin and eyes, and black hair, carrying a bow shooting fiery arrows."
    Hellflame Dwake: Move 5, Hits 12, Attack 10, Defence 4 + Ranged + Dancefighting >> 68 pts each
"A smaller version of Hellflame Dwagons, also called Dwakes. They carry Ewinyes to battle and spit chunks of lava from skies."

Edit: Side changed from Gerardion to Avewnus.

Twoy, don't forget to PM unit number 4. You have made a mistake in your unit costs I'm afraid.

    Faun Archers
    Move: 4
    Hits: 5
    Att: 8
    Def: 5
    Ranged = 8
    Scout 4*(Hits+(Defence/2)) = 4*(5+5/2)= 4*7.5 = 30
    Shockamancy = 8
    Dance Fighting = 6

    Hits*Move/2 + Defense*(Hits^(2/3))/2 + Attack + Special = (5*4/2) + (5*(4^(2/3))/2) + 8 + 8 + 30 + 8 + 6 = 77

(The rest was correct except for the scout cost. Scouts get more expensive the harder they are to kill)

    Elephant Siege
    Move: 1
    Hits: 20
    Att: 30 + 5
    Def: 5
    Cost: 103
    Ranged
    Siege
    (20*1/2) + (5*(20^(2/3))/2) + 30 + 35 + 10 = 104 by my count.

(Defence was cheaper than you thought)

Twoy I still need you to PM your fourth unit, (your sides natural allies)

(2*Hits or 4*Hits^2/3, whichever is lower) - A copy paste error on my part.

scout cost, and scout move: in the "Turn" spoiler, it's said that scouts cost 10 extra. Wasn't that 6 extra? Also, can I have no units with "Scout" among my 4, but when I pop a unit, say- this will be a Scout, and pay extra?

First Scout cost is: 4*(Hits+(Defence/2)). Another copy paste error. Second units can only be upgraded into Commanders on popping. So if you want scouts make sure one of the your four units types is a scout type.

    - how many hexes can a Scout inspect?

A number equal to it's move.

Hmmm ... would we be able to swap pop points between teams? Say in a battle, a shockamancer is used to incapacitate a high-level warlord, then that warlord's stack is destroyed. Presumably the warlord gets captured. Prisoner exchange or ransom, anyone? Turnamancy?

    No capturing this game.

I'll correct the original post with all the above.

Zilfallon I'm afraid the Sovereign of Gerardion will be joining forces with Nawnia not Risun as player number 4 to post their units.

As far as I can tell, the teams are

    Team Sunshine and Sparkles:
Nihila (Risun), WaterMonkey314 (Escotia), Twoy (Nawnia)

    Team Rotten Pumpkins:
HerbieRai (FoxHound), zilfallon (Avewnus), BLANDCorporatio (Steam Gentlemen).

Not quite because of Twoy's place holder post. It goes

    Team A
    Nihila (Risun),HerbieRai (FoxHound), ????

    Team B:
    Twoy (Nawnia), zilfallon (Avewnus), ????

I'm going by the order they post units in the thread, as it allows later posters to adapt to the units the previous players are making. It's certainly interesting seeing which specials are favoured, and which ones are being ignored.

Looks like I'll probably be the last to post units. Is it ok if I do that tomorrow? Minmaxing them will not be an issue (I'm too busy with my rants in the other thread), but to at least make some informed choice.

That's fine Watermonkey is also yet to post units. Currently ranged dance fighting units seem the most popular.

I expect turn 1 will actually start Friday, as I'm sure once all the units are designed the players on each side will want to organise starting units, and how they plan to coordinate.

These set in stone? I have no problem with it, but FOXHOUND would like to exhange their special units with Risuns if they are going to be our allies.

Also: I had a misscalculation in my units. Liquid Snake is an 89 pt unit

A question - to which phases does the Foolamancy baffle bonus apply?

    My units:

    Field Gun
    Spoiler: show
    Cost 172
    Hits 30
    Attack 39
    Def 2
    Move 3
    Specials: Ranged, Shockamancy

The classic model Escotian piece of artillery - large, mobile, and absolutely terrifying. So terrifying, in fact, that many troops simply cower in fear of its mighty shells when it fires... or maybe that's just its shockamancy.

    Grenadier
    Spoiler: show
    Cost 50
    Hits 8
    Attack 16
    Def 3
    Move 3
    Specials: Ranged

The elite troops of the Commonwealth of Escotia, the grenadiers are all physically large, making for an impressive sight indeed in battle. Stanley the Tool would be proud.

    Fusilier
    Spoiler: show
    Cost 24
    Hits 4
    Attack 8
    Def 5
    Move 1
    Specials: Ranged

Fusiliers are tasked with escorting and supporting the Escotian artillery companies.

    Watermonkey joins team A!

A question - to which phases does the Foolamancy baffle bonus apply?

The baffle bonus applies to defence (notice that the specials generally - but not always - give a offensive ability and a defensive ability), so a baffled stack gets the bonus when attacked.

Things I'm finding interesting: all the mancy specials are effectively faster than ranged, they cost similar amounts generally, but everyone seems to be favouring ranged most of all.

I am still working on my unit composition. I may have changes to my Elephant. Ok, I am considering, in consultation with my allies, switching the Elephant unit to a Tortoise. Really, we have so many wonderful units in Nawnia that it is difficult to choose only four to send to a campaign.

Edit: Not a tortoise. They said they are really not interested. I'm asking the porcupines now.

Edit 2: Edmund said I should say that the Elephants are not doing anything at the moment. They're just hanging around Caer Paravel enjoying the Spring weather. Really, they just don't feel like participating in another battle right now. Oh, BTW, Aslan says Hi. Wave.

Edit 3: If our third ally would post his units, it would sure make our planning sessions a bit easier. No pressure, though. Enjoy your nap.

Edit 4: So the Elephants are out in the courtyard spraying the SOADOEs (Sons of Adam, Daughters of Eve) and the beavers with water from the spring that flows through the middle of Caer Paravel when the beavers block the spring. I guess they did not like being sprayed with water. Anyway, Avewnus keeps sending me these thinkagrams. They seem to be very nice people, but they also seem to be upset about stuff all the time. I'm guessing they're just a bit jittery about the coming battle.
