    Interesting.

It is hard to tell how much of that is real though.I believe that at the core it is legit, but parts of it are certainly exaggerated, and would only work in showmanship scenarios.

And he makes it sound like his way is superior, when it is just a different archery style, that is effective in different circumstances. His accuracy would not be that great a longer range, and the technique will not allow him to shoot with that much power behind it.

He goes through chain mail. Plenty enough power at closer ranges.

True, he's not shooting a longbow. But I wouldn't call what he's doing 'showmanship'. Sure he's showing (because he's showing), but the dude is accurate and it's plenty powerful enough.

And it makes total sense that 'real' archers don't run through the woods with a quiver of arrows, that holding them in hand is more realistic (and useful if there might be enemies in the woods).

Granted the dude is a master archer and not just anybody can whip arrows out with that speed and accuracy.

I actually know the guy, and he has teaching lessons and will usually answer any question people have for him. He is accurate up to around 30 meters with a near 0% miss at that range. He can't match an English longbow of course, but his usual training bow is a 120 pounder, more than enough to punch through most armour at middle ranges.
And yes he is that quick, it's quite eerie actually. But I have seen others who have trained under him match some of his skills/abilities.
