If Jillian wasn't such an awful character and if the contract mattered at all, we wouldn't be witnessing Vanna moving the plot at the speed of a snail.

    Everything is Jillian's fault.

I've never been more disapointed by an update. I came to this thread looking forward to your silent objections of my spelling of "pronounciation", only to find that this is the reaction page to page 230.

edit: I also mistook Parson for Jillian in the first frame and was wondering what SHE was doing in Transilvito.

So it looks like propaganda of sorts is also a Turnamancer's purview..

I do hope Bill's not going to do something stupid and deny us a Caeser rulership..

Where did he get materials for this carty? Just manufactured on the spot in the cell?

Although, I guess, it's the cart that they did some turns ago. But then -- how did he recall it from the workshop…

Not sure what the least liked and trusted people in Transylvito can do to screw this up, unless Parson or Caesar decides to stupidly rely on being able to command Vanna without her turning to Charlescomm and melting faces.

More useful is that Parson knows about our underground underground in the MK...

Of course. Spinning news is just another form of turning.

Even in the dungeons Vanna is still a pain in Parson's butt. Can Bill receive thinkagrams from Charlie? Things could go back to being FUBAR real quick.

Anyone else interprets that look on Skyy's face as a look of worry?

I also like the "creep, creep, creep" sound effect. Very fitting for a thing made by Bill.

Don't see why he couldn't. It's not like Bill is a prisoner, which could possibly raise questions of whether he can.

The majority of Transylvito's capital defences are dolls and bats. Having a rogue Turnamancer and rogue Dollamancer in this situation is a prelude to a complete and utter shitshow. Especially if they decide that it would be fun to add Charlie into the mix. Even more horrifically, if Parson and Maggie's conversation here is foreshadowing and it leads to Vanna, Bill and Charlie linking and they discover the string back home to Jed and Vanna tries to turn him.

No, sir, I don't like this one bit.

You can see on the last panel that he has a workshop in his cell. He's still their dollamancer, so it's better to make him make... whatever golems he makes (is it Bill who makes molls? I think so, who else, right?).

Anyhow, it makes me wonder: would it really be so flippin hard or costly to put a Titans flippin GUARD in the dungeon? I mean, people are going in an out of there like a fiddler's elbow, carts are running freely on the floor, and TV is, like, whatevs, who cares what all those prisoners and treachery-levels-of-loyalty units are doing down there.

Seriously, put a moll in it!

Another fine mess of Don's: Allowing the mad dollamancer to make crows while being punished.

I have to say: Vanna's over-the-top dramatism annoys me very much.

Also, aren't she under orders to not talk to anyone?

Writing isn't talking. Parson pulled the same trick when Stanley ordered him not to speak way back in Book One.

You know Bill is the one that makes the molls, so they wouldn't make the best guards. Neither would a bat, which is a non-speaking unit. Anything less than a warlord wouldn't make a good guard actually, considering that the two people in the dungeons are Transilvitan commanders. You'd need folk there who wouldn't be subserviant to Bill or Vanna. So that means no wind-mills as guards either.

    She's not talking.

Parson used the same loophole back in Book One, when Stanley ordered him to shut up.

    Edit- Ninja'd twice. Go figure.

Even without being close enough to use her Turnamancy senses, it looks like Vanna knows exactly how to wind up Bill.
