Razing the city? That's interesting. I thought Jillian would keep it and use it to attack more GK cities. I suppose this does mean that she can't mine whatever gems are left in the city, if she had a way to do that.

Edit: maybe she's going to go to Spacerock and attack Stanley since she figured out that nobody wants to attack her?

I find the passing through a mountain pass filled with giants line funny given what's happening in OOTS.

Also, typical Charlie BS that we all pretty much called. Guess she doesn't count as an "agent" at this time, but GK units are handtied because of the treaty from killing her. I'd still risk killing her mount and take the small breach hit when she is killed from falling.

Razing the city of Gobwin Knob? That's.... an interesting departure from her original plan to keep it for the regular upkeep to Faq's treasury.

Sigh. And that means Georgia Power is gone.

Whoa, this answers quite a few questions and raises a few more, but all in all an awesome update!

Jillian is being played and now knows she's being played. What will she do about it?

GK's defenders were smart enough not to engage her at all, good job! Lose a city instead of losing a Kingdom.

The biggest answer we got was that, yes of course, Charlie is working a loophole!

I think the Order of the Stick would like to have a word with Jillian.

Sounds like Charlie's being extra careful to make Jillian not his agent in all this.

Razing the city is pretty strange, though. Back on page 150 it sure sounded like she wanted to hold it. Guess those guns made a big difference in her plans.

Heh, I like that the city that was basically threatened to fall for nearly the entirety of Book 1 basically topples over pretty much without incident. I guess now we have to go back and see what happened everywhere else, since between the Giants and the guns, FAQ is going to steamroll anything that isn't Stanley's main force, and with a large part of his talent unavailable, I doubt even that would work.

Yea, I read that and couldn't help but think it was a reference to OOTS.

I'm disappointed that the city fell so easily. Should have been much tougher.

Also I'm really disappointed that the city of GK had no lava-based defenses.

I am very pleased at how fast the "wondering about where the guns came from discussion" got a great answer.

The contract with Charlescomm kind of hamstrings them defending against Jillian.

Seems like foliage might be another non-Erfworld word. Which means Charlie either told the Archon exactly what to say or he teaches them new words. Or foliage is a known word and Jillian is just puzzling over why Charlie didn't outright say weapon (to avoid directly helping her, I guess?).

The next logical step for Gobwin Knob is to send Jitterati the coordinates of Faq's capital and a good number of schmuckers without actually telling them to do anything.

Well at least the defenders in Gobwin Knob didn't throw a bunch of shmuckers at Charlie. I can't wait to see how Stanley reacts to Jillian, but I'm betting that comes in Book 4. The disasters in the Magic Kingdom and Transylvito are probably going to finish off this book.

And there is the reasoning we need to say that Jillian is not an agent of Charlescomm, but Vanna is. Charlie took great pains to assist her without having Signamancy recognize them as cooperating.

Because telling them to look at the foliage doesn't activate the agents of Charlie clause that exists in the GK-CC cease fire, while saying, "Hey we left you some guns" would.
