It's a fun little series with a very similar premise to Erfworld - in fact I wouldn't be surprised if it was among the inputs forming the original ideas for the comic.

A late '80s silicon valley coder is summoned to a fantasy world as a final attempt to save civilization, and a lot of underdog heroism and world-breaking hackery ensues. It features a lot of well done software industry jokes including a "spell compiler", a demon named Emac, and literal worms implementing a magical ddos attack.

It's not the greatest series ever written, but quite a lot of fun, at least for people who can appreciate the jokes on software project management and computer geekery. Also, looking at those jokes, the ups and downs of software project management changed precious little since the '80s. :)
