Because they're not relevant to the story yet? I'm assuming that Rob doesn't want to paint himself into a corner, so he leaves details vague until he needs them.

There were hundreds of other units also croaked and decrypted. No point in mentioning each one if it's not relevant to the plot.

I don't see any evidence of a warlord in "http://www.erfworld.com/book-1-archive/?px=%2F132.jpg" The gold color armor is Jetstone uniform. A commander wears the same colors but that does not make the two units in the picture commanders. For example, soldiers in the USA army wear the same camouflage colors as generals. You can tell the difference by the insignia on the shoulders and on the chest board but the fabric is the same. I do not think you can determine anything about the Jetstone troops except maybe that they are infantry.

Who knows how many warlords were in the RCC or were decrypted afterward?

Yes, I've always wondered what % of the RCC was decrypted. Wanda certainly got a lot of good units out of it, but presumably she couldn't have gotten every single one.

To be fair they were "supporting characters" or "background characters" mainly able to be seen thanks to the art. Presumably as the comic moves forward and we see more of the decrypted forces illustrated we might see them in a similar role. At it has been they haven't been significant enough to be brought up yet textually.

Same for the Elven Healers we seen in one of those strips.

Actually, decrypted warlords are mentioned: http://www.erfworld.com/page/15/

    Quote:
Parson usually took along someone to talk to as he made his rounds. Sometimes this was Maggie or Sizemore. Sometimes it was one or two of the Decrypted Warlords or Archons. Today, it was Jack, the Foolamancer.

BTW, I hope our beloved RCC warlords Nozzle, Scarlett and Blue warlord have been decrypted. And I wonder what happened to the altruist elves. You just can't have enough healers.

Also this reference in update 33 http://www.erfworld.com/2009/09/summer-updates-033/

    Quote:
The defenders, what few there were, wore the red and orange livery of Unaroyal. The tower bore a banner: a black torus with white lettering, on a red and orange field. The Decrypted Unaroyal commanders had said to expect the most resistance to be mounted at the gate, but it would surely be too little to cause concern. It was expected that the remaining Marbits would have withdrawn to cities with a tunnel system.

So GK does have other warlords/commanders. What I am curious about is what all the ex-Unaroyal cities and GK are making.

And yes, I too hope Scarlet/Red makes another appearance.

Gobwin Knob better start poping it's own warlords and units, relying so heavily on units gained by a magical effect is not the smartest thing to do. If wanda gets killed, they loose all decrypted. If Wanda break sides, they loose them and have to fight them. And the RCC2 could look into spells to fight uncroaked. It's typical in these magic systems that there has to be some form of magic oposed to croakmancy wich destroys uncroaked

Well, at the very least, GK has a large contingent of dwagons, via Stanley's expeditions.

We know that GK also now has a large number of hobgobwins.

And all that is NOT counting whatever the cities are ACTUALLY popping - 50 turns is enough to pop a few units by natural means as well. Just because they haven't been mentioned doesn't mean it hasn't been happening.

So no, GK's not just a decrypted side right now.

I wonder how useful they would be to a decrypted force - can decrypted be healed?

But yes, I wondered that to, the are pretty distinctive.
