Parson promoted Hobgobwins to Heavy, when presumably other units are naturally heavy. So your point about Archons doesn't really indicate anything.

    That established that there is no level requirement to become a knight, and that knight is not always an addon to another unit type.

    That could also be expressed as level 1+ Archons are knight-class.

    It's likely the some units are always knight-class, some units can become knight-class. Wether that is via Moneymancy, a specific level, something equivalent to masterclass for casters, time, or something else isn't defined enough.
