Jed the Head is clearly wearing a hat. Hat-magicians can conjure items, and maybe certain small units, from hats. So enchanting Jed's hat with hat magic (and maaaybe some carnymancy) might mean a good hat-magician could conjure much larger units, like gwiffons or dwagons, for the side.

Hats also can be used to send items to other hats, such as messages or gems. With the many new awakened towers around Erfworld (there could possibly be one in every city or every capital city), a properly skilled hat-magician might be able to send units through tower hats to other cities, across many hexes and with no regard for whose turn it is. If only Cubbins had been decrypted with Ace...

    Cubbins survived. :)

I don't know that Hat Magic would work for Jed. His hat seems to be part of his structure and usually if sending or receiving items, the magic hat is not being worn. I haven't seen him tip his hat... but then again, he doesn't have arms, so that's not really surprising.

Did he? We haven't seen him since he floated off on an auto-pilot'd jetpack. He was incapacitated and needed to travel several hexes while incapacitated to get to Pierce.
I mean, I'm sure he is. I'm 100% positive Balder is salivating for the big reveal of Cubbins' Great Return, maybe with some battle-hardened Signamancy. Pale and gruff, maybe some stubble. He leveled up to Eagle Scout.

Given that the top of Jed's hat does open up, that might work instead of taking it off.

I would say that Jed, through his hat, can perform Dirtamancy. When he opened his hat and filled his head with water, he was basically creating a water trap to negate Parson's fall damage.

Also, Jetstone's Healomancer carries around a cocktail most of the time, right? Were those infused with Healomancy? Is it possible that Jed is pushing out Healomancy cocktails to sooth the nerves of the imbiber?
Or, is alcohol Flower Power? It doesn't seem to count as rations, or I'd imagine Stanley wouldn't be too happy about the cost.

Also if you wanted to send, say, a stack of Jed-Eye Knights via hat, they’d find it a bit crowded when they arrived in the receiving end...

Wouldn't a portal be a Tower's Hat teleportation? Are portals Hat Magic? Are Towers the hats of cities?
